For safety concern of each student, RACL school board has been focusing on improving traffic management.
During our tenure in Raleigh Charter High School, both parents and RACL have made tremendous efforts to achieve much more smooth and safe carpool. The safety team truly thank you all parents who complying with the school safety policies. As we start the new school year at Apex Middle School, we will continue to apply the school safety policy for ensuring a smooth and safe carpool.
There are two options to drop children between 9:00 and 9:25 AM.
Option 1. Drop and Leave Drive along ONE-WAY carpool line (Red Line), drop kids at the drop zone, then leave. Please see attached map for drop zone (2 and 3). No car allowed to park in school drop zone 2 and 3. No stop on street to drop kids for the safety of your child! Parking lot 1 and 4 (28 lots) reserved for RACL teachers.
Option 2. Park and Stay Park car in the parking lot near Bus Loop (Yellow Line), then walk their kids to the front door of the school building. Please be cautious when exit the bus loop to Highway 55 because of the narrow exit. Please do NOT enter the bus loop from the Highway 55. Please NO left turn onto S. Mason St. from parking lot during carpool 9:00-9:25 AM, and 11:00-11:15 AM. Available parking lots: 40.
Additional 36 parking lots available on the school side of S. Mason St. and E. Moore St. If you choose to park at street, we ask you NOT to exit or enter or move your vehicle during carpool, 9:00-9:25 and 11:00-11:15. This is critical for your own safety and safety of others, as well as the free flow of carpool traffic. Please be patient, sit inside the car and wait for 10 more minutes, and then leave.
The school is located in the midst of neighborhood. Please respect the residents and do not park your car in front of their houses. You will be ticketed for parking on the neighborhood side of the street.
As usual, Safety team will help parents drop their children and lead children to their language class. We ask parents to follow their guidance when entering/leaving the school.
