Dear RACL Families,
We would like to update you the RACL Location Change.
We held the the parent and school administrators meeting on the decision of RACL location change on May 13, 2016. Detail location change information was provided and parent’s concerns were discussed during the meeting. Later on, many parents also gave lots of helpful suggestions and feedback; school administrators further discussed the situation. Meanwhile, we continued our great efforts to meet and discuss with another school to explore the possibility as our new location. Apex Middle is still the only one that had given us a definite positive answer. The conclusion is still the same: while Apex Middle School is not the ideal location for RACL, but it is better than the current location. Finally, the school board approved the Location Change to Apex Middle School.
The Agreement with Wake County Public School System for using Apex Middle School was assigned on June 29, 2016. Currently, total 30 classrooms are reserved. We can confirm that:
1. Great savings: Save 22% on the rental cost.
2. More flexible: Can easily request more classrooms. We will be able to offer more language classes and activity classes to our students and parents.
3. Internet access: Wake County Public School System network is available to RACL during our school time.
4. One classroom is reserved for parents to use.
Next step, we are planning to hold an Open House at Apex Middle for parents and students. Tentative Day and Time: in the afternoon, Saturday, August 20th, 2016. More details will be provided at later time point. First School Day; August 27, 2016.
