Safety Policy: Drop Kids and Parking Policy

Dear RACL Parents,

洛丽汉语学校(RACL2016春季开学时间/2016 Spring Semester Starts on 1/9/2016 (Sat)

Language Class time: 9:15-11:00AM.  Activity Class is open on 1st day.

Address: Raleigh Charter High School, 1307 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27605

      Calendar: http://www.racl.org/school-calendar/

For safety concern of each student,  RACL school board has been focusing on improving traffic management.

For the past year in Raleigh Charter High School, we experienced a car pool and parking chaos at the beginning.

After big efforts made by both safety team and parents, we achieved much more smooth traffic flow at the end of

last school semester. Hereby, we truly thank you all parents who complying with the school safety policies.

In what follows, we kindly recall the school safety policy which will be continuously applied this semester.

There are two options to drop children between 9:00 and 9:25 AM.

Option 1. Park car in the parking lot, then walk their kids to the front door of the school building. After that, parents SHOULD NOT directly move their car out from parking lot until 9:25 AM. Otherwise, one back-off car can easily block traffic along the one-way inline loop.

Option 2.  Drive along ONE-WAY inline loop, drop kids at the drop zone, then leave. please see attached map for drop zone (38-53 and H H H H H), which is right in front of the school entrance door.

Thus, 1) there is no car allowed to park in school drop zone (38-53 and H H H H H).  2) Once the car is parked, you should not move the car between 9:00 and 9:25 AM. Please be patient, sit inside the car and wait for 10 more minutes, and then leave. 3) Please follow ONE-WAY driving direction strictly.

As usual, Safety team will help parents drop their children and lead children to their language class.

Parents please follow their guidance when entering/leaving the school.

Thank you very much for your collaboration.

Many Thanks,

RACL Safety Team
