北卡220支援Peter Liang集会游行总结

各位朋友： 2016 年2月20日北卡首府洛丽市支援Peter Liang集会游行，在同胞们和一些其他族裔朋友的积极参与和支持下，圆满结束。本次游行，是本地华人继2013年抗议ABC主持人Jimmy Kimmel在节目中传播赤裸裸的仇华言论之后，短短两年之内在Raleigh/NC举行的第二次声势浩大的抗议活动。我们与全美40多个城市的成千上万华人一起，用实际行动，书写了历史，在北美华人争取自由平等权利的道路上，树立了一座令人难忘的里程碑！ 同胞们在整个游行过程中激情澎湃，现场气氛极为热烈，一阵阵“Equal Justice For All”、“No Scapegoating”的高呼声此起彼伏。喊哑的嗓子，高举的标语，坚定的步伐……无不昭示着我们这一代及下一代华人追求公正、不做“哑裔”的决心。希望所有的北卡华人，将来更积极地参与到各级社区服务、投票，关注社会问题，并最终参与竞选和当选，扩大华裔的生存权，也为我们的后代打下一片应该属于他们的更加自由公平的空间！ 同时，同胞们在整个集会游行过程中，理性有序，积极配合安全小组的工作，未发生任何安全意外与冲突。集会结束清理后，现场一片碎纸、一个空瓶都没留下，谢谢大家！ 在此，我谨代表游行筹备小组，衷心感谢所有到场群众的支持，感谢所有捐款人的慷慨捐赠，感谢所有志愿者在游行前、游行中及后续工作里的无私奉献！我们值得为自己骄傲！ 另外，在这次活动中，各华人团体、个人、学校、微信群等空前团结，积极高效运作，并涌现出了一大批有志有识有担当的骨干力量，这必将为我们以后北卡华裔进一步争取平权的运动打下坚实的群众基础。 在本次游行募捐中，截至游行结束当日，共收到83份捐款，总计$6940.65。一俟报销完毕，我们将出具完整的募捐收支报告，供公众监督。剩余款项，将在尊重捐款人意愿的基础上妥善处理。 Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.让我们用纽约州议员William Colton对梁彼得案声明中的一句话来总结我们的诉求：We can never remove past injustices by creating new injustices. 自由平等靠积累和勇气。今天我们迈出了可喜的一步，在未来漫长的岁月中，任重而道远，让我们为了自己，为了我们的后代长大以后能在美国拥有跟别的族裔一样的平等机会，不被当作替罪羊、被当作沉默的可以随时被欺负被牺牲的对象，求同存异，团结一心，一起努力，为美国的司法公正贡献我们亚裔的力量！   此致， 陈曦   On behalf of …
